Travis is the owner and inspector behind Boxwood and Slate Home Inspections, a company built on integrity, attention to detail, and real-world housing experience.

A graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and former police officer, Travis has built his career around service, trust, and protecting others. Before becoming a home inspector, he worked as a residential remodeling project manager, operated his own remodeling business, and continues to renovate and manage primary and short-term rental properties throughout the Triad area.

That hands-on experience gives Travis a practical perspective that goes far beyond a standard inspection checklist. Having personally renovated homes and managed rental properties, he understands how homes age over time, where hidden problems commonly develop, and how deferred maintenance can quickly become costly repairs.

Clients appreciate Travis not only for his thorough inspections, but also for his approachable and honest communication style. His goal is to help buyers, homeowners, and investors clearly understand the condition of a property without unnecessary fear tactics or confusing technical jargon.
